ALBRM Partner and Shareholder Julie Burick Earns New Jersey Matrimonial Law Attorney Certification
MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. — The law office of Adinolfi, Lieberman, Burick, Molotsky and Roberto (ALBRM) is pleased to announce that the firm’s partner and shareholder Julie Burick earned her Certification as a Matrimonial Law Attorney from the New Jersey Supreme Court. The Supreme Court grants certified matrimonial law attorney designation to attorneys who are able to demonstrate sufficient levels of experience, education, knowledge, and skill in matrimonial law. Through its Board on Attorney Certification, the Supreme Court gives this distinction to only those lawyers who apply for certification and who are able to meet the standards set by the Board and approved by the Court. She joins her partners Robert Adinolfi, Ronald Lieberman, and Drew Molotsky along with only three percent of attorneys in New Jersey who have earned this prestigious certification.
Burick is passionate about her work, believing her calling is to use her voice and skills to help those in a time of tremendous distress. Admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1999, she has practiced all aspects of divorce and family law throughout her career. She began as a law clerk for Camden Regional Legal Service, Inc. in the Gloucester County/Woodbury office while in law school, working on a wide variety of matters, including various family law issues. Upon obtaining her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law-Camden in 1999, she clerked for New Jersey Superior Court Judge John Tomasello (retired), then sitting in Vicinage XV, Gloucester County Family Court. After concluding her clerkship, Burick worked as a first-year associate at Gerstein Grayson in their family law department before returning to Legal Services as a staff attorney from 2002 to 2011. She then joined Helmer, Paul, Conley & Kasselman to head its family law department.
Since 2011, Burick has dedicated her practice, time and boundless energy exclusively to matrimonial and family law at ALBRM. She has effectively represented clients in all aspect of matrimonial and family law matters before the Superior Court of New Jersey trial courts, as well as the Appellate Division. Her particular areas of emphasis are complex cases including domestic violence, Department of Child Protection & Permanency (DCPP) child abuse/neglect cases and appellate work. She has been appointed by the Courts to act as Guardian to investigate the appropriateness of guardianship applications of incapacitated individuals, as well as to act as Guardian Ad Litem to children in contested custody cases.
Burick was admitted to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania State bars, as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in 1999, the same year she clerked. In June 2014, she had the honor of being sworn in as a member the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States.
