Mount Laurel, NJ — Adinolfi, Roberto & Burick, P.A. is pleased to announce that Aileen S. McCandless, Esq. has joined the firm as an associate. Ms. McCandless focuses her practice exclusively on family law and is admitted to practice in New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Ms. McCandless joins the firm following a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Linda A. Galella, J.S.C., in the Family Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Gloucester County. There she handled all aspects of family law, with a focus on emergent applications involving custody, parenting time, and child abuse and neglect; domestic violence actions, including restraining order modifications and violations; and the juvenile adjudication docket.
Born and raised in South Jersey, Ms. McCandless has dedicated her educational and professional life to the Garden State. Before law school, she worked in constituent services for the federal government, focusing on community outreach, federal casework, and stakeholder engagement on behalf of New Jersey residents. She continued in that role full-time throughout the COVID-19 pandemic while putting herself through law school.
“Aileen comes to us having seen family court from the bench side, handling emergent custody applications and domestic violence matters day in and day out,” said Tom Roberto. “That experience gives her a real understanding of what our clients are facing and what it takes to protect them and their children. Ms. McCandless earned her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from The College of New Jersey. She is a member of the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law American Inn of Court.
